Rolling Stone has a knack for pushing the buttons of music fans when they publish thier "100 Greatest" lists. A few years back they published a list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and had some glaring omissions. Check out this list and see where your favorites stack up. Perhaps next time they should list the greatest front person or greatest ROCK singer.

I cant believe Steven Tyler was 99. Now I know he may not have the greatest pitch-perfect voice. But he got beaten out by Kurt Cobain? Tom Waits? Bullstuff. Now like you said, if they did a Greatest Frontman article, im sure Steven Tyler would jump to the top. As well as Axl and Robert Plant.
I agree. Rolling Stone does post some very conroverisal lists. Where is Ann Wilson of Heart? Or Alice Cooper? Perhaps I should post my own list.
