Sorcerer Radio Press Release - WDW Tiki Room

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sorcerer Radio Announces Re-branding and new show concept of "Tiki Room Morning Show: Under New Management" to "WDW Tiki Room."

(Orlando, Florida) December 31, 2010 — The Sorcerer Radio Network announces a re-branding and re-launching of it’s weekly morning show "The Tiki Room Morning Show: Under New Management." The program's new name is now "WDW Tiki Room". The new show name is effective immediately. Along with the re-naming, the show is also reformatting the show to include lifestyle segments, pop-culture clips and the addition of regular "cast members". In addition, the Sorcerer Radio Network will begin teasing new things coming to Sorcerer Radio in 2011. “Both Kristen and I thought it was time for a change. Sorcerer Radio is all about celebrating people's Disney fandom, so this new show will be a combination of our "Tiki Room Midday Show" in terms of pop-culture/film/television content and an entertainment magazine show with regular segment contributers. Sort of a Disney entertainment radio magazine variety show. It will still have the spirit of the morning show but will have more value in terms of info-tainment. Sorcerer Radio has been a leader in programming for internet stations from the get go. The new name is shorter and ties it in with our favorite theme park,” said Aljon Go, show co-host and Sorcerer Radio station manager.

The new regular show segments include the following: "Bonus Levels", a segment about Disney videogames hosted by Sorcerer Radio DJ Eric Allen, "The Deek Report" featuring Chip and George of 2LonleyDeeks.com, "The Disney Trip Planner" with travel expert Kathy Peacock of Magical Journeys Travel and the return to Sorcerer Radio of MuppetCast host, Steve Swanson hosting the "Muppet Minute". There will also be segments dedicated to collecting, the "Tiki Room Book Club" and more to be announced.

The new show content will air January 7, 2010 on SRSounds.com and on Live365.

The show's contact information has also changed to the following:
E-mail: WDWTikiRoom(at)SRSounds.com.

It's been busy 'round these parts!

Let's get this out of the way first... What a hard fought season for our Nashville Predators. Kudos for having the intestinal fortitude to make the playoffs. Even though they fell short of making it to the second round I'm proud of our team and look forward to next season!

Wow! Being a husband, internet dj and world traveler doesn't leave much room for much else. Having said that I'm really lucky to have the support of my wife, family and friends. Since my last update Sorcerer Radio has launched a new midday line up. Kristen and I have been hosting new programs like the SorCom Review, Castaway Midday and Tiki Room Midday Show! So if you are Disney fan please check us out at SRSounds.com!

Next week I plan on launching a new guitar gear based podcast named after my website. The "ToneFreq Podcast" will focus on real solutions for the everyday guitarist. We will be talking about the latest guitar gear and about life as a working musician. I will also be interviewing gear manufacturers and bands about their gear and how they get that special tone! For more about this podcast please visit ToneFreq.info!

Until next time don't forget to turn your computer off and recharge yourself!

Sorcerer Radio?

I get messages and tweets from people asking me what's up with all the Disney tweets? Aren't you like the "Nashville rock guru?" Why YES I AM the Nashville rock guru, radio show host, guitar blogger and purveyor of pop-culture! I also really dig Disney. I always have. Long before I picked up a guitar I was drawing my favorite Marvel heroes and recreating some iconic Disney movie posters. I wished one day to become a comic book artist or to become an animator at Disney. As I grew older my tastes shifted toward music. Since my wife and I spent our honeymoon at Disney a few years back it has brought us closer together and reawakened my love for art and all those great iconic characters.

For the past few years my wife and I have been an active part of the Sorcerer Radio community. I even help my wife with her web-series "Cooking With Mickey" that shows people how to recreate food from and inspired by Disney theme parks and films!

After leaving my top rated show "The Local Buzz" in September 2009 after many years I needed a break. With my "day job" and working at the Buzz I was spreading myself really thin. After a few weeks of helping my wife with her new "Disney Dining Experience" food review segment on Sorcerer Radio's Disney podcast "Character Breakfast" an opening to do a Friday Morning broadcast was available. After some discussion we decided to see if we could host the show. Surely enough the head of the station agreed and now I'm back on the air! This gives us a great opportunity to work on another project together and help me keep my radio "chops" as it were.

I really look forward to getting back on the air at the #1 Disney station on the web as well as co-hosting a show with my wife! Please follow our blogs and Twitter. Don't forget to tune into the "Tiki Room Morning Show" Friday at 8:00 am EST for two hours of Disney family fun!

Thanks for your support!

I'm back - sort of!

My section has finally been removed from the Buzz website after more than a month. I'd like to thank the crew at the Buzz and the Party for being my radio family since 1999! I learned a lot from working there and hosting The Local Buzz show. I wish them all the best and continued success! Please support them and listen HERE!

Tony Stone, my former co-host and replacement on the Local Buzz called me to tell me that we won our ratings for our demographic in our time slot! I'm extatic to have left on great terms and at the top of the heap! Thank you for listening to me over the past 15 years from WKDF/WGFX to WBUZ/WPRT!

Right now I plan on getting a few things in order and hope to spend more time with my wife. It's pretty difficult when you travel as much as I do, but family comes first! In the mean time there has been plenty of talk of me returning to radio, or perhaps hosting a Local Buzz type of t.v. show. At this point it's all talk. I can say that I am working on something right now that will be a departure from you might have heard from me in the past. Follow me on Twitter for more news on this new project!

At this point I'm still supplying voiceovers for Showtime All-Star Wrestling as well as doing production for SRSounds.com, the #1 Disney music station on the web! If you're interested in hiring me to do voiceovers or commercial radio spots for you please let me know. Check out my voiceover sample page HERE!

Thanks again for all of your support!
